Symphonie 'Monoton-Silence'

Symphonie 'Monoton-Silence' a conceptual musical work by French artist Yves Klein, conceived between 1947 and 1949 and first performed publicly in Paris in 1960. Scored for a large orchestra and chorus, the piece consists of two equal parts: a sustained D major chord held for twenty minutes, followed by twenty minutes of absolute silence.
